TWG Development Breaks Ground on Connection @ South Side
Today, TWG Development broke ground on 280 mixed-income, multifamily rental units in South Side.
The URA joined TWG Development, City of Pittsburgh officials, partners, and stakeholders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Connection @ South Side.
This new development, located on a former brownfield site on Sidney Street, will add 280 affordable and market-rate, multifamily rental units, parking and amenity space to the neighborhood. Ten percent of the units will be available to households earning at or below 50 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI).
URA's Interim Deputy Director Diamonte Walker remarked:
“This is a project that can set the tone for how we do development in Pittsburgh. We have a commitment to create developments that are reflective of all people and communities. TWG worked with the URA on real MWBE inclusion for the project and demonstrated their commitment to create an opportunity-rich neighborhood.”
