How to do Business with the Housing Authority

On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh will be offering an “Instructional Workshop.”

The workshop will focus on:

  • Registering as a Vendor
  • Single & 3 Quote Bids
  • RFP/IFB Paperwork & Proper Completion
  • Pre-Proposal/Bid Meetings & Networking

Another ‘Chat & Chew’ In the Books

With assistance from the URA’s MWBE Program Office, Turner Construction Company hosted a ‘Chat & Chew’ on June 4. The event was held at Turner’s office, located at 925 Liberty Avenue.


The ‘Chat & Chew’ presented ten MWBE firms with an opportunity to engage with Dexter Hendricks, Turner’s vice president, Community and Citizenship, and Abby Krehl, Turner’s interiors/SPD procurement manager. The URA was represented by Corey Derico, Lisa Moses and Emily Pontarelli.


Abby Krehl shared:


“Turner Construction is always looking to expand our trade partner base with talented, diverse businesses and we look forward to growing the relationships started at events like ‘Chat & Chew.’ We hope to host another soon and thank the URA for partnering with us to continue to develop our community relationships.”
